Freedom 76 Weekend Overview
The Freedom 76 weekend kicks off on Friday, September 19, with the 12th annual Freedom 38 Sportsman Championship. The format will mirror the Freedom 76 event, including qualifying heats, consolation races, and a cash dash sponsored by Roy Miller II of Keller Williams Real Estate with a $500 prize, along with a Minuteman 20 event, all culminating in the 38-lap Championship race. Additionally, there will be practice time for 358 Modified drivers interested in competing in the Freedom 76.
Fans for Five Friday
This Friday is dubbed Fans for Five Friday, offering grandstand admission for only $5, while children aged 9 and under can enter for free.
Friday’s Schedule and Admission
Pit gates will open at 3:00 PM, with grandstand access starting at 5:30 PM, followed by a drivers meeting at 5:30 PM. After the meeting, the pill draw will occur, and practice sessions will begin at 6:15 PM, with racing scheduled for 7:30 PM. Pit admission is $40, and no license is required. Note that there is no rain date for Friday’s events.
Participation Details
Competitors must remember that the Freedom 38 is exclusively for regular drivers in the Sportsman division; drivers who mainly compete in the Modified division are not eligible.
Saturday’s Major Event
On Saturday, September 20, the spotlight will be on the 55th annual Freedom 76 for T.P. Trailer 358 Modifieds. The event lineup includes qualifying heats, consolation races, a cash dash from GT Radiator Repair with a $1,000 prize, and the Minuteman 20, all leading to the 76-lap Championship main event with a winner’s purse potentially reaching $32,063!
Saturday’s Schedule and Admission
Pit gates will open at 9 AM for car inspections, and fans can secure their grandstand seats between 9 AM and noon by using blankets. Grandstand ticket sales begin at 3 PM, with the pill draw at 4:30 PM and a drivers meeting at 5 PM. Warm-ups are scheduled for 6 PM, with racing commencing at 7 PM. Adult grandstand tickets will cost $40, while students aged 10-15 with ID will be $20, and children 9 and under can attend for free. Pit admission is $45, with no license necessary. Note that advanced tickets will not be sold for this event, and the rain date is set for September 27.
