Thrilling Finish in NASCAR Modified Feature at Grandview Speedway
The 30-lap T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment NASCAR Modified feature at Grandview Speedway was a nail-biter that wasn’t decided until the very end! Jeff Strunk from Bechtelsville, Pa. navigated through dense lapped traffic and faced a last-lap challenge from Logan Watt of Boyertown, Pa., ultimately securing victory by just a car length. This marked Strunk’s first win of the season and was the third time in five weeks that the Modified feature concluded in such a dramatic fashion.
With this win, Strunk became the fifth different victor in as many weeks for the start of the 2026 racing season at Grandview. He also celebrated his 81st victory in the NASCAR Local Racing Series powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts, along with his 92nd overall Grandview Speedway 358 Modified win, which includes triumphs from the Thunder on the Hill Series.
Competitive NASCAR Sportsman Feature
The T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman 25-lap feature was another intense competition. Brad Brightbill claimed his second win of the season after a ten-lap head-to-head battle with Teague Miller from Barto, Pa. Brightbill’s win made him the first driver in this division to secure multiple feature wins this season.
This victory marked Brightbill’s thirteenth in the Saturday night NASCAR Local Racing Series powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts, bringing his overall total at Grandview to fifteen, including wins in the Thunder on the Hill Series. Winners in both features received cash bonuses: $300 for Modifieds and $200 for Sportsman, courtesy of T.P. Trailers and Truck Equipment.
Highlights from the Modified Feature
The 30-lap Modified feature kicked off with Bobby Trapper Sr. taking the lead, while a fierce struggle for positions unfolded behind him involving Darrin Schuler, Eric Biehn, and others. By lap nine, the race featured intense competition for the top five spots, with Logan Watt and Jeff Strunk moving through the pack to challenge for positions in the top ten.
After a couple of cautions on lap eleven, Cody Manmiller took over the lead, with Strunk and Watt pressing him closely. With two laps remaining, Watt was tailing Strunk, attempting to find a way around him as they both maneuvered through lapped cars. Strunk managed to fend off Watt’s advances, crossing the finish line just ahead in a thrilling photo finish.
