Epic Race at Grandview Speedway
Saturday night hosted another legendary event at Grandview Speedway, featuring a thrilling five-driver battle for victory in its most esteemed race of the season.
Eddie Strada’s Historic Win
As the checkered flag waved, “The Edge” Eddie Strada from Lake Ariel, PA secured the most significant triumph of his stock car racing career, claiming a prize exceeding $34,800 at the 55th annual Freedom 76 T.P. Trailer Modified Classic.
Intense Competition
Strada vied for the lead against Duane Howard and Louden Reimert, both from Oley, PA, when Danny Bouc from Pipersville, PA, and Jared Umbenhauer from Richland, PA, entered the fray, igniting an extraordinary five-way contest for the top honor.
Crucial Moments in the Race
Following a restart on lap 37, Reimert briefly took charge after a side-by-side battle with Howard. Strada, riding the outer lane, overtook Reimert for the lead just before Reimert faced a flat tire, ending his hopes for victory.
Final Stages of the Race
In the latter half, Umbenhauer and Bouc pressured Strada, but he successfully defended his lead, gradually pulling away in the final ten laps to earn his second career victory at Grandview Speedway, shortly after his inaugural win three weeks prior.
Prize Breakdown
Strada’s substantial earnings comprised $30,063 in prize money, a $1,000 NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series bonus, another $1,000 for being a regular, a custom winner’s jacket, a Penske Racing Shocks Certificate, and $2,480 in lap reward money.
Looking Ahead to Future Events
The Freedom 76 wraps up the season for the T.P. Trailer Modified and Sportsman divisions. However, Grandview Speedway welcomes everyone to the 2026 Season Opener on April 4, featuring the Bruce Rogers Memorial Money Maker. One final event is scheduled for September 27 for the Outlaw Racing Series Enduro/Vintage series.
