Nominees Announced for 2020 Truck Dealer of the Year
The American Truck Dealers, along with Heavy Duty Trucking magazine and Procede Software, have revealed the nominees for the 2020 Truck Dealer of the Year award. This prestigious national accolade honors commercial-truck dealers for their business achievements, leadership in the industry, and contributions to their communities.
This Year’s Nominees
The five individuals nominated for 2020 are:
- Jim Bland, co-president of TranSource in Greensboro, North Carolina
- Oscar Horton, president and CEO of Sun State International Trucks in Tampa, Florida
- Tim Mitchell, president of Motor Truck Equipment Company / Kenworth of Pennsylvania in Carlisle, Pennsylvania
- Scott Pearson, president of Peterbilt of Atlanta in Jackson, Georgia
- Thomas “Lance” Wilson, general manager of General Truck Sales & Service in Memphis, Tennessee
Selection Criteria
The nominees were identified by board members of ATD and executives from state, metro, and national associations. Professors from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, will assess the nominees based on their dealership performance, industry leadership, and community involvement.
Award Announcement
The winner and runner-up will be revealed on Sunday, February 16, 2020, at the 57th annual ATD Show in Las Vegas. This event coincides with the National Automobile Dealers Association Show, which takes place from Friday, February 14, to Monday, February 17.
