UTEM Launches New Facility in Bellmead, Texas

PR Newswire

WACO, Texas, March 31, 2026

WACO, Texas, March 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The Utility Truck Equipment Manufacturing (UTEM) has officially commenced construction on a new facility in Bellmead, Texas, signaling a major advancement in the company’s growth trajectory.

The new facility, situated at 500 Research Ave, will span over 13 acres and include a 25,000-square-foot building designed to enhance UTEM’s production and inventory capabilities. The development is projected to take around eight months, aiming for operational commencement in December 2026.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by UTEM staff, their families, Bellmead Chamber of Commerce representatives, local government officials, and community members. Key speakers included Bellmead City Manager Yousry “Yost” Zakhary and UTEM President and Owner Kirk Zander, followed by a ceremonial soil turning.

“We are thrilled to welcome UTEM to our community,” stated Zakhary. “This project opens up significant opportunities for Bellmead, fostering growth, job creation, and ongoing progress in our area.”

“This new site provides us with the necessary space for strategic growth,” Zander noted. “It will enable us to operate more efficiently, enlarge our product range, and enhance our service to the customers and sectors we work with daily.”

The expanded facility will empower UTEM to boost its inventory levels, streamline production processes, and unveil new products, including an extensive selection of aerial lifts. Additionally, it will accommodate extra truck storage, facilitating greater inventory management and quicker delivery times.

As construction progresses, UTEM is dedicated to expanding its capabilities while continuing to supply ready-to-use equipment for teams that rely on it—now from its new location in Bellmead.
