Major Boost for Yokohama Eastern Storm Competitors

The United States Auto Club (USAC) has announced a significant increase in rewards for participants in the Yokohama Eastern Storm, sponsored by Levan Machine & Truck Equipment. This year’s edition, marking the 19th installment of the six-race series, will commence on Tuesday, June 16, at Grandview Speedway and conclude with the finale at Action Track USA on Sunday, June 21. The top five competitors will share a championship payout of $12,000 for first place, $6,000 for second, $3,000 for third, $2,000 for fourth, and $1,000 for fifth, in addition to the standard race night prize of $6,000 for the winner.

Experience the Thrill of Non-Wing USAC Racing

If you haven’t had the chance to witness a USAC non-wing National Tour event, make sure to attend the upcoming dates of the 19th Annual Yokohama Eastern Storm. The high-powered 410 non-wing USAC Sprints are known for their dramatic slide-jobs and spectacular rooster-tails, as drivers maneuver through turns and accelerate out of corners, often causing thrilling wheel-banging and interactions with the outer guardrails. The versatility of the tour drivers shines as they switch between short track bull rings and larger half-mile dirt ovals throughout the series.

Expected Participants

Notable drivers such as Logan Seavey, Jake Swanson, Trey Osborne, Chase Stockon, Justin Grant, “The Mad Man” Robert Ballou, Brady Bacon, Kyle Cummins, Kevin Thomas, local favorite Briggs Danner, and Mitchel Moles are anticipated to compete in this year’s events.

Levan Machine & Truck Equipment Participation

Levan Machine & Truck Equipment will be prominently featured at every event during the 19th Annual Amsoil USAC Eastern Storm. Located just outside Reading, PA, they are a full-service CNC machine shop and work truck upfitter.

Schedule of Events

The Eastern Storm will kick off at Grandview on June 16, featuring the Jesse Hockett Classic, which offers $6,000 to the winner alongside the 358 Modifieds. Following this, the series moves to Bridgeport Speedway on June 17, Big Diamond Raceway on June 18, Williams Grove on June 19, Port Royal Speedway on June 20, and concludes at Action Track USA on June 21.

History of the Eastern Storm

The inception of the Eastern Storm can be credited to Track Owner Bruce Rogers and special events organizer Bob Miller, who approached USAC in 2007 with the idea of bringing USAC racing back to the East. The tradition of USAC racing in Berks County dates back to 1956 when Tommy Hinnershitz won the first USAC event at the Reading Fairgrounds. Since 2007, when the series first opened at Grandview Speedway, the USAC Eastern Storm has been steadily growing in popularity.
