Vehicle and Equipment Fire Response
On Saturday, July 5, 2025, fire crews from Puget Sound Fire and South King Fire & Rescue, assisted by a Port of Seattle Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) unit, responded to a major vehicle and equipment fire in the 35000 block of Frager Road, Kent.
Emergency Response Details
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene at 5:30 p.m. to combat the fire, which had consumed several trucks and heavy machinery. Thankfully, firefighters managed to put out the flames with no injuries reported to the public or first responders.
Investigation Underway
The King County Sheriff’s Office fire investigators arrived on the scene to ascertain the cause of the fire.
A Touching Moment
In an emotional display, Puget Sound Fire shared that as crews approached to remove what they thought was a melted flag from a scorched flagpole, the flag unexpectedly unfurled and began to wave in the sunlight.
Ongoing Efforts
Fire crews remained on-site for several hours to ensure complete overhaul and that the fire was entirely extinguished.
