Stellar Industries Unveils Updated Large Off-the-Road Tire Service Trucks
Stellar Industries has updated its range of large off-the-road (OTR) tire service trucks to better serve the evolving needs of tire service professionals across various sectors.
The redesigned trucks feature numerous enhancements that boost functionality and versatility. Engineered to manage the largest OTR tires in challenging environments, these heavy-duty vehicles are both designed and manufactured in the United States. They seamlessly integrate a high-capacity carrier, advanced tire manipulator, and an onboard air system into one mobile tire service unit.
With carrier and manipulator capacities spanning from 4,600 to 16,500 lb and steel body lengths between 15 to 20 ft, these trucks are constructed to efficiently handle large OTR tires while supporting a fully equipped tire service operation. The onboard air compressor, tire transport systems, and ample tool storage enable a single technician to manage service tasks directly at the job site, cutting down response times and reducing downtime.
New exclusive features include a robust hexagonal boom design for enhanced strength and minimized flex, a worm gear-driven rotation system, remote radio as well as manual controls, and a modified A-frame stabilizer system with out-and-down outriggers for improved stability on various terrains. A heavy-duty steel body with reinforced components and corrosion-resistant undercoating ensures long-lasting durability in challenging operating conditions.
Customizable to Meet Job Requirements
The revamped large OTR body can be tailored to address the specific needs of any task while withstanding harsh work environments and inclement weather. Additions such as Integrated Mounting Rails allow work lights to be affixed directly onto the rails above the vertical compartments, safeguarding the structure from weather-related damage and offering greater flexibility in lighting placement.
Other enhancements include Stainless Steel Compartment Latches that improve both appearance and functionality, providing a more professional look alongside larger openings for additional accessories. Stellar has also broadened its toolbox system offerings for large OTR trucks, allowing customers to select between two or four 3-inch drawer sets in the compartments. Furthermore, the Adjustable Compartment Configuration gives customers the freedom to choose their shelving and layout based on their tool and equipment needs.
Additional features like Enhanced LED Compartment Lights ensure that compartments are well-lit for easy visibility, aiding operators in locating tools and parts even in dim lighting. Also, extra D-Rings have been added throughout the flatbed for better tire securement during transport.
These improvements apply to all OTR models, including TM4110/9000, TM6116/13500, TM7120/17000, TM12154/23000, and TM16160/28000. These updates reflect Stellar’s ongoing commitment to crafting fleet equipment that is durable and designed to work in line with customer requirements.
