Man Arrested for Equipment Theft and Burglary in Bartlesville
BARTLESVILLE, Okla. — Authorities in Bartlesville have apprehended an individual for stealing a truck and equipment from a contractor working for the city, which he subsequently used to carry out several burglaries.
Officers were notified around 7 a.m. on Wednesday about the theft of a work truck and equipment from a site managed by Holbrook Asphalt.
Holbrook Asphalt is engaged in resurfacing projects throughout the Bartlesville area.
The stolen truck was later implicated in multiple burglaries across residential neighborhoods in Bartlesville. Fortunately, the police were able to recover the truck and some of the stolen equipment, which were returned to Holbrook Asphalt.
On Friday, 41-year-old John Beaver IV was taken into custody in connection with the theft. Law enforcement indicated that there may be additional suspects involved, and more arrests could follow.
Chief Ickleberry of the Bartlesville Police Department stated, “This arrest is the result of diligent investigative work by our officers and valuable community cooperation. We aim to hold those accountable for these actions while ensuring the protection of our citizens’ property and safety.”
