Exciting Racing Events at Grandview Speedway for Memorial Day Weekend
As Memorial Day approaches, Grandview Speedway has a packed schedule of racing events planned for both Tuesday and Saturday nights this week.
Thunder on the Hill Racing Series
The inaugural Thunder on the Hill Racing Series event is set for Tuesday, May 19. This exciting occasion, sponsored by Levan Machine & Truck Equipment, features the Rich Mar Florist Interstate Batteries High Limit 410 Sprints in a Roto-Rooter Mid-Week Series race.
Race Night Details
The event includes time trials and qualifying heats leading up to a 35-lap feature race with a prize of $20,000 for the winner. Additionally, Alpine Building Supply is offering a $2000 bonus if a Pennsylvania driver wins. Attendees can expect a night filled with high speeds and prominent racers, including Kyle Larson, Rico Abreu, and Kasey Kahne, among others.
Ticket Information
Advance tickets for May 19 are available at HIGHLIMITRACING.COM. Entry for advance ticket holders begins at 4:30 PM, while general admission tickets will be sold starting at 5 PM. Warm-ups kick off the event at 6:45 PM, with racing starting at 7:35 PM. A rain date is scheduled for May 20.
NASCAR Local Racing on Saturday
This Saturday, May 23, Grandview Speedway will host another NASCAR Local Racing Series event featuring the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds and Sportsman divisions, alongside the Outlaw Racing Series Vintage cars. The evening will consist of qualifying races leading to a 30-lap Modified feature and a 25-lap Sportsman feature.
Saturday Night Activities
Gates will open at 4 PM for pits and 5:30 PM for grandstands, with racing starting at 7:30 PM. Adult admission is $20, while students pay $10, and kids under 9 are free. The night will also feature Trivia Night, allowing fans to win prizes by answering questions about Grandview Speedway.
Current Standings and Upcoming Races
Jeff Strunk recently claimed his first victory of the season in the Modified feature, holding fourth place in points. Eddie Strada continues to lead the points standings. Upcoming races include a double-header on May 30 featuring twin 25-lap Modified races.
