A Fantastic Opening Night!
Grandview Speedway kicked off its 64th anniversary season of stock car racing on Saturday night, with a full grandstand and a crowded pit area. Fans were treated to a thrilling evening of racing action as the season began.
Victory for Reimert
When the dust settled, Louden Reimert from Oley, Pa. secured a hard-fought victory in the 9th annual VP Racing Fuels Bruce Rogers Memorial Money Maker, a 50-lap T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified championship feature. He triumphed over Eddie Strada from Lake Ariel, Pa. in what marked the inaugural event of the 2026 racing season at the one-third-mile track.
Sportsman Victory for Brightbill
Also celebrating a win on Opening Night was Brad Brightbill of Sinking Spring, Pa., who clinched the victory in the 25-lap T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman main event.
A Night to Honor Bruce Rogers
This opening race was dedicated to the late Bruce Rogers, a long-time track owner and promoter who managed Grandview Speedway alongside his family for over 50 years before his passing in 2017.
Numerous Competitors Show Up
The season opener saw an impressive entry of 58 Modifieds vying for the first points race in the 2026 championship chase powered by NASCAR Local Racing Series and O’Reilly Auto Parts.
Intense Racing Action
The Modified feature commenced with Billy Pauch Jr. from Frenchtown, N.J. taking the early lead, while fierce battles unfolded behind him among racers like Danny Bouc, Craig Von Dohren, Jeff Strunk, Eddie Strada, and Matt Stangle. Reimert, who started in second, quickly gained ground and moved into the lead by lap twelve, edging Pauch Jr. in a thrilling exchange for the top spot.
Upcoming Events at Grandview Speedway
Fans can look forward to another NASCAR Local Racing Series program set for next week, featuring both the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds and Sportsman classes. The races will kick off at 6 PM on April 11. Adult grandstand admission is $20, while students and children can enter for reduced fees. For those interested in attending the upcoming Thunder on the Hill Racing Series opener on May 19, advance tickets are available now.
