Milwaukee Brewers Prepare for Spring Training
MILWAUKEE – A sure sign that spring is on the way, the Milwaukee Brewers loaded their spring training equipment truck on Tuesday.
The truck was filled at American Family Field with help from Bernie Brewer and the Famous Racing Sausages. It will soon journey to American Family Fields located in Phoenix.

Equipment Breakdown: Here’s a glimpse of what’s being transported to Arizona:
- 20,500 baseballs
- 1,000 baseball bats
- 200 batting helmets
- 2,000 shirts
- 250 batting gloves
- 400 batting practice jerseys
- 200 game jerseys
- 300 baseball pants
- 500 pairs of socks
- 20 cases of bubble gum
- 60 cases of sunflower seeds
The equipment truck is expected to reach Arizona on Saturday, February 7. Pitchers and catchers report on February 11, followed by the first full-squad workout on February 17.
Following a successful season that concluded in the National League Championship Series, the Brewers are optimistic about the upcoming season.
“Credit goes to Matt Arnold and the entire baseball operations team for their outstanding performance at both the major league and farm system levels,” stated Rick Schlesing, president of baseball operations. “Our farm system was rated the best in baseball last year, and we achieved the highest win total in the majors. We’re prepared and fortified, and if we stay healthy, we’re looking forward to a fantastic season.”
