Virtual 38th Annual Shell Rotella SuperRigs Competition Held
HOUSTON — The results are in for the 38th annual Shell Rotella SuperRigs competition, which took place online this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Winners were revealed on Friday, Sept. 18, coinciding with the celebrations for National Truck Driver Appreciation Week.
Best of Show Award
Brian Dreher claimed the Best of Show accolade for his 2016 Peterbilt 389.
“Congratulations to Brian Dreher for winning Best of Show at Shell Rotella SuperRigs, along with all the other award recipients,” remarked Annie Peter, the North American marketing manager for Shell Rotella. “While the 38th Annual Shell Rotella SuperRigs was different this year, the sense of community remained strong. It was crucial for Shell Rotella to maintain the tradition of honoring our dedicated truckers as they help North America navigate through a tough year.”
First Place Winners Anounced
Additional first-place winners include: Truett Novosad in the Tractor Division with his 2007 Peterbilt 379, Kiegan Nelson for his 2013 Peterbilt 389 in the Tractor Trailer division, and David Foster for the Classic Division with his 2005 Kenworth W900L. Each awardee will receive MyMilesMatter reward points along with a limited-edition Shell Rotella jacket. All entries from this year can be viewed at MyMilesMatter.com.
Special Recognition
Jeron Whittmore was recognized as the Hardest Working Trucker, while Jay Palachuk won the People’s Choice award through fan voting for his 1996 Kenworth W900.
