On-the-Road Fitness Solutions
Traveling doesn’t have to lead to weight gain. Pilot Flying J, a well-known truck stop, has introduced express gyms in Tennessee, Dallas, and Georgia, providing truck drivers with the opportunity to stay healthy while on the go.
Enhanced Amenities for Truck Drivers
After gathering substantial feedback from truck drivers who sought better amenities, Pilot Flying J invested $49 million to add over 4,400 showers at its travel centers. Collaborating with fitness partners Snap Fitness and Rolling Strong, which focuses on wellness for truckers, they recently opened a new facility in Lebanon, Tennessee. The partnership with Rolling Strong spans over seven years.
Gym Features and Accessibility
This partnership prioritizes speed and convenience, allowing truck drivers to work out at any time of day. Covering over 1,000 square feet, the facility includes equipment such as treadmills, free weights, and elliptical machines, with trainers available 24/7. All express gyms operated by Pilot Flying J are open around the clock.
Location and Convenience
The express gym, located at 921 Murfreesboro Road in Lebanon, Tennessee, serves truck drivers throughout the day, making it easier for them to maintain and enhance their fitness. Fox 4 News featured one of the earliest Snap Fitness Truck Stop Gyms in Dallas, Texas.
Background of Rolling Strong
Rob Perry, president of Rolling Strong, has a family background in trucking and understands the lifestyle’s impact on health. “To effectively serve truck drivers, it’s essential to meet them where they work and live,” Perry stated.
Affordable Membership and Healthy Offerings
Membership costs $19.95 per month, granting access not only to 600 Pilot Flying J Travel Center gyms but also to 1,300 Snap Fitness locations. Additionally, the express gyms provide healthy food options, including fresh fruits, soups, low-calorie meals, and oatmeal.
