Eicher Trucks & Buses Expands CNG Lineup
Eicher Trucks & Buses, a division of VE Commercial Vehicles, has unveiled new variants within the Eicher Pro 1000 series that focus on CNG options, enhancing its commitment to green energy solutions. The new CNG models include the Eicher Pro 1049 and the Eicher Pro 1059, targeting the 5 Ton LCV segment specifically for last-mile deliveries in the green corridor of the Delhi NCR region.
Supporting the Clean Fuel Corridor Initiative
The newly launched CNG vehicles are equipped with the E483 4 Cylinder 2 V CNG engine, which boasts extended oil drain intervals and simplified service processes. The Eicher Pro 1049 features one of the longest cargo bodies in its class, measuring 10ft, as well as a substantial payload capacity of 2.5 tons. Additionally, it is fitted with a 170-litre fuel tank and a dual fuel filling valve, touted as the first of its kind in the industry, enhancing compatibility with CNG stations to minimize wait times.
Market Availability and Options
The Pro 1049 and Pro 1059 CNG models are set to launch in Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh as part of the government’s Clean Fuel Corridor initiative. These vehicles will also be available nationwide in various cargo body configurations, ranging from 10ft to 14ft.
Introducing the Eicher Pro 1059
The Eicher Pro 1059, designed to carry loads of up to 5 tons, has also been introduced as a new CNG variant, reinforcing the company’s dedication to sustainable transport solutions.
