Eicher Expands CNG Offerings for Eicher Pro 1000 Series
Eicher Trucks & Buses, a division of VE Commercial Vehicles, has launched new variants of the Eicher Pro 1000 series in the CNG segment, enhancing its green energy portfolio. The new offerings include the introduction of CNG in the Eicher Pro 1049 and the Eicher Pro 1059 in the 5-ton light commercial vehicle (LCV) category. These models are strategically designed to serve the last-mile delivery sector within the green corridor of the Delhi NCR region.
Supporting the Clean Fuel Corridor Initiative
The latest CNG range is equipped with the E483 4 Cylinder 2 V CNG engine, which offers extended oil drain intervals and simplified maintenance. The Eicher Pro 1049 features one of the longest cargo bodies in its class (10ft) with a high payload capacity of 2.5 tons. Additionally, it boasts a fuel tank capacity of 170 liters and incorporates a smart dual fuel filling valve, a claimed industry first, that ensures compatibility with all CNG stations, thereby minimizing waiting times at fueling locations.
Availability and Market Introduction
Both the Pro 1049 and Pro 1059 CNG models have been launched in the markets of Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, under the government’s ‘Clean Fuel Corridor’ initiative in Northern India. They will soon be available across the country in multiple cargo body configurations, ranging from 10ft to 14ft.
Introducing Eicher Pro 1059
The Eicher Pro 1059, which has a load capacity of 5 tons, is also being offered as a new CNG variant, enhancing the options for customers in this segment.
