Pauley expressed to host Chuck Armstrong that “there’s so much happening, all at once.” Arteaga added, “It’s insane, man, it’s so cool. It’s what all the hard work is for. We spend a lot of time creating behind the scenes…we never really stopped, but finally sharing our work with fans is what it’s all about. It’s exciting to see the reception, and we get excited too.”
This dedication has driven the band to continuously create, from their self-titled debut in 2010 to this year’s Another Miracle. Arteaga mentioned, “This is what we do, we write music we love and then perform it live.” He further emphasized the importance of collaborating with the right people and teams to actualize their vision.
Pauley seemed comfortable with Arteaga’s sentiment, affirming, “This is what we do.” He elaborated, “Music is the universal language, which facilitates communication. For us, expressing ourselves through music is essential… Life has its stresses and joys, and there’s a song for every feeling in between. Not every track needs to be a hit, but we love the creative journey.”
What Else Did Aaron Pauley & Tino Arteaga Discuss on Loudwire Nights?
They reflected on their past while remaining focused on the future: “It’s great to look back—there seems to be an anniversary for an album nearly every month… I reminisce occasionally, but we spend most of our time living in the present.” They also talked about what keeps their excitement alive: “We’re not tired. We’re hungrier than ever… We’re scheduling tours globally and are eager to bring our music everywhere.”
On their songwriting approach, they stated, “When creating music, we don’t just throw together anything to fill an album. Every song holds significance. Each part of a song is a piece of art, and a single is just a collective favorite, often influenced by listeners beyond the musicians involved.”
