Former NFL Star Transitions to Successful Trucking Business
A former NFL linebacker has shared details about his significant career shift, as he now manages a “six-figure trucking business” in partnership with Amazon.
Sidney Tarver, who played for two of the league’s prominent teams, has channeled his competitive spirit and determination into the world of entrepreneurship.
After being signed by the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2011 and later joining the Jacksonville Jaguars, Sidney’s dreams were cut short due to a career-ending injury after just one year in the NFL.
Determined to forge a new path, he founded People First Logistics and claims to earn approximately £39,000 weekly through this venture. He established a contract providing delivery services for Amazon, working within the booming e-commerce sector that has flourished since the pandemic.
Sidney explained that while many may not realize it, Amazon doesn’t own its delivery trucks but relies on third-party companies like his for logistics. He stated, “Since the pandemic, e-commerce has been one of the biggest industries… And that’s not just for Amazon; it’s for anyone needing delivery.”
Leveraging 15 years of supply chain experience, Sidney asserts that his business generates six-figure annual revenue. He also conducts instructional courses to help others start their own trucking and logistics companies in just three months.
According to his teaching profile, “People First Logistics has successfully delivered over 5 million packages, facilitated 20,000 routes, and created job opportunities for more than 400 individuals.” Sidney Tarver’s journey exemplifies the power of ambition and resilience in pursuing one’s dreams.
