Junior League of Lafayette’s Touch-a-Truck Event
The Junior League of Lafayette is excited to announce the return of its Touch-a-Truck event on March 22 at Blackham Coliseum. This cherished event invites attendees to explore a variety of vehicles, including fire trucks, police cars, and construction equipment.
This year marks the second consecutive occurrence of Touch-a-Truck, promising a day full of enjoyment for all ages. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., offering a unique opportunity for both children and adults to engage with an array of vehicles.
Participants will have the chance to learn about and interact with numerous types of vehicles, such as ambulances, fire trucks, garbage trucks, and cranes, among others. According to Ayesha Martin, the President of Junior League of Lafayette, “Touch-a-Truck provides a unique, hands-on experience that educates and entertains attendees of all ages.”
This family-friendly event is designed not only for fun but also to support the Junior League’s mission, which focuses on enhancing women’s leadership and making a significant impact in the local community.
Event Highlights
In addition to the diverse vehicles on display, Touch-a-Truck will also feature specialized units like SWAT vehicles, boats, and BearCats. This wide range of options is sure to capture the interest of attendees young and old.

There will be a quiet hour from 2 to 3 p.m., providing a reduced sensory experience for attendees who may prefer a calmer environment.

Admission: $10 per person; children aged 2 and under can enter free of charge.
