Hundreds of Truck Drivers Join the Campaign’s Exciting Launch

New Delhi: The Highway Heroes campaign, a collaborative initiative by Shriram Finance and TV9 Network, launched successfully at Ajwa Parking, Mithi Rohar, Gandhidham, on Friday. This campaign aims to honor truck drivers nationwide while also enhancing their health and well-being.
On the first day, the event attracted hundreds of truck drivers, marking it as a significant success. The chief guest, Deputy SP Deepak R. Bhatia, was present, along with Nilesh Odedara, Joint MD of Shriram Finance. Bhatia officially opened the campaign with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and commended TV9 Network and Shriram Finance for their efforts in organizing it.
During his speech, he remarked, “I extend my congratulations to TV9 Network and Shriram Finance for this commendable initiative. This campaign serves the welfare of our truck driver community, and we at Kutch Police wholeheartedly support this endeavor.”
Odedara addressed the audience, labeling truck drivers as the backbone of India’s economy. He emphasized their essential role in the nation’s progress and stated, “It is our duty to honor them, raise their awareness, and elevate their status in society.”
A Day Filled with Valuable Sessions
The day’s agenda included several valuable sessions for truck drivers, such as yoga, financial security, and TB awareness workshops. Trainers from The Yoga Institute conducted the yoga session, teaching simple exercises to help truck drivers relieve strain after long journeys and promote mental well-being.
Princy Kardani from the National Stock Exchange (NSE) offered insights on effective money management, safeguarding against cyber fraud, and precautions for secure online transactions. Truck drivers received guidance on investing in mutual funds and safe investment strategies.
