Calhoun County Seeks Public Help in Stolen Truck and Equipment Case
CALHOUN COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – Authorities in Calhoun County are asking for assistance from the community concerning a theft involving a truck and various equipment, according to deputies.
Investigators reported that on Saturday, December 28, at approximately 4:30 a.m., an individual broke into Gantt Farms, located at 27 Live Oak Trail in St. Matthews, and made off with numerous pieces of equipment.
The stolen items include a range of automotive tools, specifically:
- Chrome Snap-On scanner
- Chrome set of wrenches
- Blue Miller Multimatic 215 multiprocess welder with welding cart
- Chrome tiger tool
- Hobart Airforce 12ci plasma cutter with built-in air compressor
In addition to the tools, a black diesel 2018 GMC Denali 2500 truck with an 8-foot bed and South Carolina license plate WHS404 was also taken.
Deputies noted that the truck has a black steel brush guard with a winch attachment, along with a distinctive license plate displaying “Broom Heating & Air” in red. It is also equipped with 20-inch chrome Denali rims.
The sheriff’s office has indicated that Jeremy Gantt, the trucking company owner, is offering a reward of $1,000 for any information that leads to the recovery of the stolen truck and equipment.
