Calhoun County Seeks Public Help in Stolen Truck and Equipment Case

CALHOUN COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – Authorities in Calhoun County are asking for assistance from the community concerning a theft involving a truck and various equipment, according to deputies.

Investigators reported that on Saturday, December 28, at approximately 4:30 a.m., an individual broke into Gantt Farms, located at 27 Live Oak Trail in St. Matthews, and made off with numerous pieces of equipment.

The stolen items include a range of automotive tools, specifically:

  • Chrome Snap-On scanner
  • Chrome set of wrenches
  • Blue Miller Multimatic 215 multiprocess welder with welding cart
  • Chrome tiger tool
  • Hobart Airforce 12ci plasma cutter with built-in air compressor

In addition to the tools, a black diesel 2018 GMC Denali 2500 truck with an 8-foot bed and South Carolina license plate WHS404 was also taken.

Deputies noted that the truck has a black steel brush guard with a winch attachment, along with a distinctive license plate displaying “Broom Heating & Air” in red. It is also equipped with 20-inch chrome Denali rims.

The sheriff’s office has indicated that Jeremy Gantt, the trucking company owner, is offering a reward of $1,000 for any information that leads to the recovery of the stolen truck and equipment.
