Racing Resumes at Grandview Speedway
Following an unexpected halt to racing on Saturday night due to poor weather, Grandview Speedway is set to resume the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series event on Saturday night, May 24, picking up right where it left off.
The racing last Saturday was cut short by rain after the second heat race for the T.P. Trailer Modifieds, which led to the suspension of the event. Track crews attempted to salvage the track surface during a brief delay, but additional rain forced the cancellation of the night after completing just six qualifying races, including four heats for the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman division.
This Saturday’s program will continue from the point of interruption, starting with the third and fourth T.P. Trailer Modified qualifying heats, followed by consolation races for both the Modifieds and the Sportsman division. The night will also feature the 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified and the 25-lap T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman feature races, as well as the Outlaw Racing Series Vintage cars as initially planned.
Tickets and pit wristbands from the May 17 event will be valid for the completion of this event on May 24. Attendees must exchange their May 17 tickets or wristbands at the ticket windows for new ones for the upcoming event.
For newcomers who didn’t attend the May 17 show, adult grandstand admission is $15, students aged 10-15 with ID pay $5, and children 9 and under enter free. Pit admission is set at $35 for those with a license and $45 for those without.
Drivers who were not present on May 17 may still participate in either division but will start at the rear of the consolation heats. Pit gates will open at 4 PM, grandstand gates at 5:30 PM, with warm-ups scheduled for 6:15 PM and the first race beginning at 7:30 PM.
Meet and Greet Events
Before the races this Saturday, the weekly Low Down and Dirty meet and greet will take place, hosted by Brittany Huber. Participating drivers include Modified racer Louden Reimert, Sportsman driver Nate Horn, and Vintage driver Gage Phillips. This event, starting at 5 PM, is an excellent opportunity for fans to meet and interact with their favorite drivers.
In terms of qualifying drivers, T.P. Trailer Modified racers who have already secured their spots include Logan Watt, Mike Gular, and others from heats one and two. Simultaneously, several T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman drivers have qualified for their 25-lap race, including Ebby Ridge and Jesse Landis, with final qualifiers to be determined from the consolation races.
Looking ahead, the next event on Saturday, May 31, will feature the Pro 4 Racing Series Four Cylinders alongside the T.P. Trailer Modifieds and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman, starting at 7:30 PM.
