Exciting Racing Event in the Northeast
Pennsylvania and New Jersey are gearing up for a major storm, not of the weather variety, but one of racing action as the Levan Machine & Truck Equipment brings the AMSOIL USAC National Non-Wing Sprints Eastern Storm from June 17 to June 22. This marks the 18th edition of the series, featuring six nights of thrilling Non-Wing Sprint Car Racing across a variety of tracks in both states.
Diverse Racing Lineup
This six-night event will showcase a mix of racing divisions, including not only the USAC Non-Wing Sprints but also the 358 Modifieds, URC 360 Winged Sprints, 410 Sprints, 600 Non-Wing Sprints, and USAC Champ Cars. The Eastern Storm is a racing week that fans will not want to miss, hitting tracks like Grandview, Bridgeport, Big Diamond, Williams Grove, Port Royal, and Action Track USA.
Challenging and Unique Tracks
The diversity of the tracks—from Short Track Bull Rings to high-speed venues and the spirited High Banks—ensures that no two events are alike, making this series one of the most challenging on the USAC National Tour.
Historical Context
Since the series began in 2007, there have been 52 Eastern Storm events, with Brady Bacon being the standout with eight victories. Other notable winners include Bryan Clauson, Levi Jones, and Chris Windom with six wins each, while drivers like Justin Grant, Logan Seavey, and Kevin Thomas Jr. have each claimed four. The competition remains fierce, with several others like Cole Whitt, Emerson Axsom, Tyler Courtney, and Thomas Meseraull securing multiple wins.
The Inception of the Eastern Storm
The Eastern Storm kicked off in 2007, with Grandview Speedway’s Bruce Rogers and Special Events Promoter Bob Miller at the forefront. A full house celebrated Levi Jones’s victory at the inaugural event, which launched the Eastern Storm as part of the Thunder on the Hill Racing Series. Since then, the tradition continues with Grandview hosting the opening race each year.
Point Fund and Sponsorship
The six-race Eastern Storm includes a $10,000 point fund sponsored by Levan Machine and Truck Equipment, a Berks County business. Brian Levan, President and CEO, is a known figure in the local racing community. He expressed enthusiasm for this sponsorship, aiming to enhance the visibility of Levan Machine and Truck Equipment while adding excitement to this iconic series.
Racing Schedule Details
The 2025 Eastern Storm champion will receive $5,000 from the total point fund, with various race night activities planned, including Meet & Greets with USAC drivers across different tracks.
