Byron Dominates Again at Avondale
After his victory in the NASCAR Cup Series race in Las Vegas last week, Hendrick Motorsports driver William Byron has once again claimed the top spot at the latest race in Avondale, Arizona.
Byron, driving the #24 Valvoline Chevrolet, made a thrilling move against his teammate Kyle Larson in overtime, securing his second NASCAR Cup Series win in just two weeks. Despite Larson’s lead during a Lap 310 restart, an incident during the race pushed the event into overtime, allowing Byron to take control after the Lap 316 restart.

Following the race, Byron posed for photos with Jeff Gordon, Vice Chairman of Hendrick Motorsports, joyfully celebrating their recent triumph at the United Rentals Work United 500, an annual 500-kilometer race at Phoenix Raceway. Their oversized trucker hats sparked a lot of chatter on social media.
Looking Ahead
Byron is set to continue racing in the Cup Series Playoffs. In his post-race statement, he expressed gratitude to the team at Hendrick Motorsports for their support: “Thanks to everybody back at Hendrick Motorsports, putting together great cars, doing a great job. This is a big credit to them, engine shop, (team owner, Rick) Hendrick, everybody.”
A Rising Star
At just 25 years old, Byron is in his sixth season as a Cup driver, still striving for his first championship, unlike teammates Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott who have won titles.
