Appointment of New Managing Director at Volvo Financial Services South Africa
Volvo Financial Services (VFS) has declared the appointment of Nina Bratlie as the new Managing Director for its South African operations, set to take effect on February 1, 2026.
As the financial division of the Volvo Group, VFS specializes in customized financing, leasing, and insurance services for trucks, construction vehicles, and buses, having served the South African market since 2017.
Before this role, Bratlie held the position of Managing Director for VFS in Norway for four years. She brings three decades of experience in the financial sector, working in various roles including asset finance, factoring, and insurance.
Bratlie expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with South African customers, emphasizing the importance of understanding local business environments. She stated, “Although we have a unified strategy and share core values at VFS, I am eager to engage with our South African clientele and comprehend their distinct operational needs.”
She highlighted the value of fostering strong professional relationships for grasping customer requirements, which in turn supports the development of sustainable businesses. “The transformation in this industry over the last five years exceeds what I witnessed in the prior 25 years, particularly regarding digitalization and evolving regulatory and customer demands,” Bratlie noted.
As a specialized captive finance provider, VFS offers a diverse range of industry-specific solutions such as asset financing, finance and operating leases, as well as insurance, and boasts a workforce exceeding 1,700 employees across 40 global markets.
