NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — DJ’s Equipment Stolen in Minutes
Thousands of dollars’ worth of gear were taken in mere minutes from a DJ’s vehicle.
Carlos Morales, who performs as DJ Ax, expressed his devastation over losing both his treasured items and his source of income.
“It was a significant amount of equipment,” Morales remarked. “They really struck gold with that one.”
After finishing a performance near Broadway on Saturday, Morales made a brief stop at a lounge in Antioch to pick up his wife.
“When I returned, I found my window smashed and everything taken,” Morales recounted, explaining that during his short absence, someone had broken into his truck and stolen equipment valued at nearly $10,000.
“They took my laptop containing all my music, along with my cables and chargers,” he added. “I also had video equipment including a Sony camera, several lenses, a drone, and a 360-degree camera.”
Signs in the lounge’s parking area indicated the presence of working cameras, but Morales hasn’t yet seen the surveillance footage. He expressed hope that the Metro Nashville Police Department would pursue an investigation.
“It’s disheartening to work so hard for something only to have it taken away,” Morales shared. “That represents a lot of effort.” He urged anyone who might have witnessed the incident to reach out to the MNPD.
