Public Assistance Needed in Bexar County Truck Theft
SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is appealing to the community for assistance in identifying individuals involved in the theft of a pickup truck that occurred last weekend in Far North Bexar County.
According to deputies, surveillance footage recorded around 2 a.m. on June 15 shows a small SUV, potentially a Mercedes, stopping in front of a home on Veining Way. A person dressed in a hoodie exited the SUV and lingered at the location for approximately 18 minutes before departing in a silver 2022 Ram 1500, which belonged to the homeowner.
Officials indicated that the stolen vehicle housed several thousand dollars worth of valuable work equipment. The suspect was seen crawling underneath the truck, likely to disable the horn or alarm system, before driving away.
Due to inadequate lighting and poor video quality, investigators could not obtain any license plate numbers or detailed descriptions of the suspects. A screwdriver was discovered at the scene and is currently being processed as evidence.
The Sheriff’s Office is urging residents in the vicinity to review their home surveillance footage to see if they captured any additional angles of the suspects or vehicles involved. Anyone with information is invited to reach out to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.
If you have any relevant information or noticed any suspicious behavior on that night, please contact the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office at (210) 335-6000.
