Public Assistance Needed in Truck Theft Case

SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying suspects linked to the theft of a pickup truck that occurred last weekend in Far North Bexar County.

According to deputies, surveillance camera footage from shortly before 2 a.m. on June 15 shows a small SUV, likely a Mercedes, arriving at a home on Veining Way. A passenger dressed in a hoodie exited the SUV and lingered at the location for approximately 18 minutes before driving off in a silver 2022 Ram 1500 that belonged to the homeowner.

Officials reported that the stolen truck contained thousands of dollars’ worth of valuable work equipment. The suspect was seen crawling beneath the truck, possibly to tamper with the horn or alarm system, before making their escape.

Owing to the poor visibility and quality of the footage, no license plate numbers or specific descriptions of the suspect could be determined. Investigators have retrieved a screwdriver left at the scene, which is currently being analyzed as potential evidence.

The Sheriff’s Office urges local residents to review any home surveillance recordings that might have captured further images of the suspects or vehicles involved. People with information are encouraged to reach out to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.
