KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Ongoing Partnership for Veterans
The St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund (SCF) is reinforcing its collaboration with Wreaths Across America (WAA), uniting to honor National Wreaths Across America Day on Saturday, December 13.
A Meaningful Collaboration
“We are privileged to collaborate with Wreaths Across America,” stated Courtney Niemann, the executive director of SCF. “This partnership offers our community in the trucking sector a significant opportunity to partake in a cherished tradition of honoring and remembering our veterans.”
Promoting Remembrance
Through this collaboration, SCF aims to enhance WAA’s mission of Remembering the Fallen, Honoring Those Who Serve, and Educating the Next Generation on the Importance of Freedom. This partnership invites all supporters, including professional truck drivers, carriers, and trucking industry affiliates, as well as their families and friends, to access the SCF landing page on the Wreaths Across America website, select “Sponsor Wreaths,” choose a location, and finalize their sponsorship to ensure a wreath is placed at a veteran’s gravesite.
Shared Values
The bond between the military and trucking is profound, as numerous professional drivers are veterans who continue to serve the nation by keeping the economy moving. Both sectors embody core values such as commitment, sacrifice, and resilience, making this partnership a powerful means to honor these shared beliefs.
Honoring Veterans
“By supporting Wreaths Across America, the St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund and our partners are ensuring that every veteran is honored with a wreath, representing the nation’s gratitude that will always remember their sacrifices,” remarked Norita Taylor, SCF board president and director of public relations at the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA).
Your Participation Matters
“The St. Christopher Fund urges all individuals and organizations within the trucking and logistics fields to get involved,” said SCF. “Whether it’s by sponsoring a wreath, volunteering at the ceremony, or spreading the word, your participation amplifies the message of remembrance.”
