WIT Announces March 2025 Member of the Month
ARLINGTON, Va. — The Women In Trucking Association (WIT) is pleased to name Christine Iva Britton as its Member of the Month for March 2025.
A Passion for Vehicles
From a very young age, Britton felt a strong attraction to anything with wheels and a motor. Her early exposure to the trucking industry came from her father’s Husqvarna saw shop located behind the Jubitz Truck Stop, which is close to the Freightliner dealership where she has worked for the past decade.
Inspired to Drive
“The trucking industry was always present in my life before I obtained my CDL,” Britton recalled. “I was captivated from the start and eventually decided to attend IITR Truck Driving School to formalize my career.”
Career Development
Britton launched her professional journey at Premier Truck Group in October 2014. In her role, she collaborates across multiple departments of the dealership, including new and used sales, collision, and service, providing valuable diagnostic feedback to management, service technicians, writers, and foremen to ensure exceptional customer service.
Achievements and Recognition
Her notable achievements include being recognized as one of Premier Truck Group’s 2024 Winning Women, receiving the Safety Excellence Coin #056, and earning an honorable mention in the Jubitz Truck Light Parade.
Advice for Women in the Industry
Britton offers encouraging advice to women in the trucking sector or those contemplating a career in it: “Go for it. Always trust your intuition, be patient with yourself, believe in your abilities, be assertive, and communicate with confidence. Emphasize support over competition, and create a fantastic playlist to help you through the challenges.”
