Windsor Police Make Arrest Following Theft of Rental Truck

Authorities in Windsor have apprehended a 40-year-old man in connection with the theft of a rented truck along with $7,500 worth of music gear.

The incident unfolded on February 3rd, 2025, just before 11 p.m., when police received a call about a vehicle being stolen in the 800 block of Janette Avenue. They discovered that an unidentified male suspect had jumped into a rental truck and rapidly drove off while the victim was in the process of unloading items from the back.

The following day, officers found the abandoned rental truck in the 2600 block of Langlois Court.

The Windsor Police Auto Theft Unit promptly initiated an investigation and identified the suspect involved in the case. A search warrant was then executed at a garage located in the 600 block of South Pacific Avenue, where law enforcement recovered a range of music equipment, including speakers and LED lights. These items were subsequently returned to their rightful owner.

On February 18th, police located and arrested the suspect in the 2400 block of Dougall Avenue.

Thomas Siroky, aged 40, now faces multiple charges, including:

  • Theft of a motor vehicle
  • Theft exceeding $5,000
  • Possession of stolen property exceeding $5,000
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
