Ken Foltz praised Roger’s dedication, saying, “Roger exemplifies the core values and principles of Foltz Trucking. He performs his duties with excellence on each trip, day in and day out.”
Foltz Trucking’s Legacy
Foltz Trucking, established in 1958 with a single truck, remains a family-owned business. They specialize in hopper freight and transport a diverse range of bulk materials, including agricultural products and pet food ingredients.
Selection Process for Driver of the Year
Each year, companies nominate exceptional drivers, with one selected as Driver of the Month based on high standards. Nomination criteria encompass a stellar driving record, contributions to the industry, highway safety, and community involvement. A panel of judges ultimately selects one nominee as Driver of the Year. This year’s judging panel includes Charles St. Martin from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Laura Roads from MnDOT, and Captain Robert Zak from the Minnesota State Patrol.
Celebrating Industry Leaders
The recognition of Roger Zima as Minnesota Driver of the Year serves not only to highlight his accomplishments but also to inspire others in the trucking industry to uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
