A FIFO Worker’s Incredible Earnings

A FIFO worker, known as the “world’s hottest truck driver,” has disclosed her impressive six-figure income, which she claims enables her to live her “best life.”

Ashlea, based in Perth, shared insights into her hectic routine while working in the remote mines of Western Australia. As a dump truck driver, she follows a 14-day on, 14-day off schedule, starting her day at 4 am and enduring 12-hour shifts in extreme heat.

The effort has been worthwhile, as Ashlea earns $120,000 annually for only working “six months of the year,” and describes her life as “awesome.” In her TikTok video, she explains how she manages to maintain such a fulfilling lifestyle while working in mining.

“I make it a point to engage in exciting activities,” Ashlea mentioned. She underscored key aspects that contribute to her lifestyle, such as being child-free and single by choice, possessing no debt, and owning her car after selling her investment property.

Regarding her earnings, she opened up about her salary without reservation. Initially starting as a trainee at $36.50 per hour, Ashlea saw her rate rise to $43.50 after three months. By her first year as a truck driver, she earned around $94,000 to $95,000, and after switching contractors, her hourly rate increased to $51.50, bringing her total income to approximately $122,000 with bonuses.

In a recent TikTok video, Ashlea expressed surprise at being dubbed the “world’s hottest truck driver,” sharing that she had no previous experience in mining and had to work hard to secure a traineeship that offered her valuable skills.

Despite the challenges of her job in harsh conditions, Ashlea finds the lifestyle rewarding, especially with two weeks off every month. Reflecting on her transition from a standard 8-5 job to FIFO work, she acknowledged the greater financial benefits, stating that her goal is to invest in properties while planning for the future.
