J&R Schugel Trucking Promotes Mental Health Awareness
NEW ULM — J&R Schugel Trucking has introduced a newly wrapped truck to mark Mental Health Awareness Month.
The truck, a Kenworth T680, features a striking black and green design adorned with the Mental Health Awareness ribbon.
“In these unprecedented times, many individuals are encountering challenges that can be quite stressful and emotionally exhausting,” stated Dan Denhof, President/CEO of J&R Schugel.
The decision to wrap a truck around this significant topic aims to resonate with those affected and their families.
“This is our third truck wrap, and it reflects the unique struggles many of us have faced this past year, bringing attention to the importance of Mental Health Awareness,” Denhof added.
“Our goal at J&R Schugel Trucking is to encourage those grappling with mental health issues and to help diminish the stigma associated with seeking assistance,” Denhof noted.
The awareness truck will travel across the country, with the hope that it provides support to many viewers. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, mental illnesses are prevalent in the U.S., affecting millions annually, a figure that has increased amid the COVID-19 pandemic. J&R Schugel plans to assign this unit to one of their professional drivers soon. For support, individuals can reach the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-8255, contact the Crisis Text Line by texting NAMI to 741-741, or call The National Domestic Violence Hotline at 800-799-7233.
