Introduction to the 2025 IFDA Truck Driver Hall of Fame
MCLEAN, Va. — This year, the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) will honor 93 professional drivers by inducting them into the 2025 IFDA Truck Driver Hall of Fame, celebrating their impressive collective achievement of 2,600 years of safe, accident-free driving.
Recognition from IFDA Leadership
According to Mark S. Allen, President and CEO of IFDA, “These 93 inductees represent the finest among our industry’s 135,000 professional foodservice distribution drivers. These outstanding individuals form the backbone of America’s food supply chain, guaranteeing that essential goods reach restaurants, hospitals, and schools to support our communities.”
Largest Class of Inductees
This year’s class is among the largest to be celebrated, underlining the high safety standards maintained in the foodservice distribution sector. The induction ceremony will occur at the IFDA Solutions Conference on September 29.
Qualification Criteria for Inductees
All inductees have met rigorous standards that include:
- A minimum of 25 years of continuous service with an IFDA member company.
- 25 years of safe driving without chargeable accidents.
- No moving violations in the last five years.
Significance of the Hall of Fame
IFDA stated that “The 93 honorees join an esteemed group of professional drivers who have shown an extraordinary commitment to safety and service throughout their careers. The foodservice distribution industry depends on skilled drivers who manage complex routes and specialized equipment while upholding high safety standards.”

The Hall of Fame program, now in its eighth year, not only celebrates individual accomplishments but also aims to inspire current and future drivers. It highlights the importance of safety, professionalism, and service excellence in cultivating successful careers in foodservice distribution.
2025 Inductees
Among the inductees are Leroy Abell from McLane Foodservice with 32 years of safe driving, Scott Baumgartner from Kohl Wholesale with 27 years, and numerous others who have dedicated their careers to maintaining safety and efficiency in food distribution.
