Partnership for Sustainable Transportation

Daimler Truck Financial Services, a leading provider of financial services for commercial vehicles, is teaming up with Electrada, known for its electric vehicle charging infrastructure, to assist Daimler Truck customers in transitioning to sustainable transportation solutions. They have formalized an agreement to launch a Charging-as-a-Service (CaaS) initiative, set to debut with selected U.S. clients in the first half of 2024.

Comprehensive Charging Solutions

Richard Howard, President of Daimler Truck Financial Services USA LLC, stated, “In collaboration with Electrada, we aim to provide our customers with a full-service charging solution for their electric trucks and buses. This comprehensive offering will feature a fixed monthly rate covering the development, management, maintenance of the charging infrastructure, and energy contracts. Our objective is to simplify the transition to zero-emission vehicles, allowing customers to focus on their transportation businesses.”

Supporting Fleet Electrification

As part of this partnership, Daimler Truck Financial Services will also offer insurance for both the vehicles and infrastructure and handle the billing for vehicle payments, insurance, and energy services.

Electrada’s Commitment

Kevin Kushman, CEO of Electrada, expressed, “We are pleased to take this proactive step in deploying our complete electric fuel solution, 360 CaaS, for fleets in collaboration with Daimler Truck Financial Services. With our significant experience in providing extensive Charging-as-a-Service solutions, we aim to accelerate fleet electrification while managing all aspects, thus relieving customers of capital, performance, and pricing risks.”

Existing Electric Truck Offerings

Daimler Truck has already introduced battery-electric truck models in the U.S., including the eCascadia, with series production for the Freightliner eM2 commencing in the final quarter of this year.
