2026 Thunder on the Hill Racing Series Launch
The 2026 season of the Levan & Truck Equipment Thunder on the Hill Racing Series will commence when the Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing Roto-Rooter 410 Sprint Series visits “The Hill” at Grandview Speedway on Tuesday, May 19. This event is proudly sponsored by Levan Machine & Truck Equipment and Rich Mar Florist.
Event Schedule
Gates will open at 5 PM, followed by time trials at 6:45 PM, and then opening ceremonies. Heat races are set to begin at 7:35 PM. In case of inclement weather, the rain date is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20. Ensure you order your advance tickets at HIGHLIMITRACING.COM.
Entry Procedure for Advance Ticket Holders
Those with advance tickets will enter the grandstand via the first turn gate, similar to the previous three years. This streamlined process allows advance ticket holders to choose their seats before general admission tickets are available. On race night, gates open at 4:30 PM for advance ticket holders, while general admission tickets will be up for sale at 5 PM at the main entrance.
The Hodnett Cup
Winning this event carries additional significance as it honors the late racing legend Greg Hodnett. The Hodnett Cup, named in his memory, is an actual trophy that was owned by Hodnett. Each year, the name of the event winner is etched on the cup. Notable previous winners at Grandview include Danny Dietrich, Aaron Reutzel, Kyle Larson, Rico Abreu, a two-time winner, and Logan Schuchart.

Among the elite competitors expected to participate are Kyle Larson, Rico Abreu, Danny Dietrich, Brent Marks, Kasey Kahne, Tyler Courtney, Ryan Timms, Tanner Thorson, Aaron Reutzel, Giovanni Scelzi, Kerry Madsen, Justin Peck, Sye Lynch, Brady Bacon, Tanner Holmes, and Daison Pursley, among others.

Alpine Building Supply will be offering a limited edition Alpine Thunder on the Hill Racing Series shirt. The design features a 410 Sprint, a Non-Wing 410 Sprint, and a 358 Modified on the back, with logos from Alpine Building Supply and Thunder on the Hill on the front. All proceeds from shirt sales will support the Big Impact Group of Schuylkill County, a mentoring initiative for local youth that has been active for over 35 years.
