Grandview Speedway Hosts Thrilling Double Header with Alpine Building Supply’s Yokohama USAC Eastern Storm and 358 Modifieds on June 16

Thunder on the Hill Racing Series Scheduled

The widely anticipated Levan Machine & Truck Equipment Thunder on the Hill Racing Series featuring the USAC Non-Wing Sprint Cars and 358 Modifieds is set for Tuesday, June 16, at the Grandview Speedway. This exciting event is sponsored by Alpine Building Supply of Schuylkill Haven, PA.

Event Details

The races will commence at 7:30 PM, with gates opening at 5 PM. To purchase advance tickets, call 443-513-4456, providing your full name and ticket quantity. On race day, attendees can pick up and pay for their tickets at the WILL CALL window starting at 4:30 PM. Those with advance tickets can enter the grandstands at 4:30 PM, half an hour before general admission tickets go on sale.

Race Lineup

After qualifying, the first feature event will be the 40-lap USAC Jesse Hockett Classic with a $6,000 prize for the winner. The 358 Modifieds will compete in a 30-lap feature race for a chance to win $3,000, with an additional $2,000 for a first-time Thunder on the Hill Modified winner, totaling $5,000.

Driver Expectations

The 358 Modifieds are known for their thrilling performances, attracting top drivers from the Tri-State area. Anticipated participants include Eddie Strada, Jared Umbenhauer, Rick Laubach, and many more.

USAC Non-Wing Sprints Participant List

The USAC Amsoil Non-Wing Sprints are expected to showcase exceptional talent, including current National Tour point leader Kyle Cummins, defending Eastern Storm Champion Justin Grant, and local favorite Briggs Danner, among others.

Special Sponsorship and Prizes

Levan Machine & Truck Equipment will sponsor the Eastern Storm, offering substantial rewards including $12,000 for the 2026 Eastern Storm Champion, with various prizes down to $1,000 for fifth place, alongside the regular race night purse.

Merchandise and Community Support

Alpine Building Supply will set up a display for race fans and will be offering a special edition Alpine Thunder on the Hill Racing Series shirt. Proceeds from these shirts will benefit the Big Impact Group of Schuylkill County, a mentoring program for local youth. Shirts will be priced at $20 for sizes up to XL and $25 for larger sizes.
