Grandview Speedway Prepares for New Season with Open Practice
Grandview Speedway is gearing up for the upcoming racing season by organizing an open practice session to mark the start of the 2026 season.
This Saturday, March 28, the traditional free practice session will be open to all racing divisions. Drivers will have a chance to test their newly updated or brand-new equipment ahead of official competition, which kicks off the following week. Race fans can also come out to see their favorite drivers and check out their new cars for the season.
Competitors from various racing divisions will participate, including the weekly T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment NASCAR Modifieds and NASCAR Sportsman. Other divisions expected to join include Enduro cars from the Outlaw Racing Series, Vintage cars, winged and non-wing Sprint cars, and Xcel 600 Modifieds. Racers from these divisions have participated in past practice sessions, so it’s uncertain who will show up for the nearly five-hour event.
Pit gates will open at 10 am, with the practice session scheduled to start at noon and run until 5 pm. Admission to the pit area is $35, with no license required, while grandstand entry for spectators is free. Track concessions will also be available for all attendees.
On the same day, fans who have purchased season passes can arrive at the track starting at 10 am to choose their seats for the new season. Additional season passes will also be available for sale on Practice Day.
The official start of the 2026 season will take place on Saturday, April 4, featuring the VP Racing Fuels Bruce Rogers Memorial Money Maker. This event, honoring the long-time track owner and promoter Bruce Rogers, will allow both Big and Small Block Modified competitors to race a 50-lap feature, with a winner’s purse of $7,500 and an additional $1,000 for simply taking the green flag in the main event.
The Opening Night program will include the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment 602 Sportsman, featuring qualifying events and a 25-lap feature race. Gates will open for the event at 1 pm, with a 6 pm start time for races. Grandstand admission is $30 for adults, $20 for students aged 10-15 with ID, and free for children aged 9 and under. Pit admission prices are set at $40 with a license and $45 without.
