Exciting Two-Day Race Weekend at Grandview Speedway
Following another thrilling night of competitive racing last Saturday, Grandview Speedway is set to host its first two-day racing weekend of the season.
Friday Night Lineup
The racing action kicks off on Friday, April 17, featuring the Outlaw Racing Series Enduro and Vintage cars. They will be joined by the Keystone Sport Compact Series Four Cylinders and Xcel 600 Modifieds, starting at 7 PM. Pit gates open at 2 PM, and grandstand gates at 5 PM. Grandstand admission is priced at $10, with free entry for children aged 12 and under. Pit admission is $35.
Saturday’s Program
On Saturday, April 18, the event features a two-division program under the NASCAR Local Racing Series Powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts banner, showcasing the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds and Sportsman. Each division will have qualifying races, culminating in the 30-lap Modified and 25-lap Sportsman main events. Race time is set for 6 PM, with pit gates opening at 3 PM and grandstand gates at 4 PM, followed by warm-ups at 5 PM. Adult grandstand admission is $20, $10 for students aged 10-15 with ID, and free for children 9 and under. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.
Highlights from Last Saturday
Last Saturday featured an exhilarating night of racing, with 51 T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds competing. Jared Umbenhauer secured his eighth career win in the NASCAR Local Racing Series after a comeback week, gaining significant traction in the championship points standings.
Current Point Standings
Eddie Strada now leads the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified points following a solid third-place finish, while Louden Reimert, who won the opener but finished tenth, is in second. The top five in points also include Jeff Strunk, Alex Yankowski, and Tim Buckwalter.
Sportsman Division Update
In the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman division, Bryce Bashore, making just his eighth start at Grandview, achieved his first feature win. Defending Champion Colin Cox climbed to first in the points with a fifth-place finish, while Addison Meitzler and Adrianna Delliponti rounded out the top three in the standings.
Upcoming Events
On Saturday, April 25, another two-division program featuring the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds and Sportsman will take place. Special events are also lined up, including the Twin 25-lap features on Saturday, May 9, and the Interstate Batteries High Limit 410 Sprint Car Series on Tuesday, May 19. Tickets for these events can be purchased at HIGHLIMITRACING.COM, with gates opening at 4:30 PM for advance ticket holders on May 19.
