Kaithal Police Take Action Against Wrong-Side Driving
On Saturday, officials reported that the Kaithal police have filed four distinct cases against truck drivers for reportedly operating their vehicles on the incorrect side of the road.
Traffic Violation Check Initiation
A police spokesperson indicated that this action was a part of a checking drive aimed at reducing traffic violations in the area.
Incidents on National Highway-152
During the inspections conducted near Kalayat on National Highway-152, two cases were registered at the Kalayat police station involving Monu, a local resident, and Krishna from Uttar Pradesh for driving their trucks in the wrong direction.
Further Wrong-Side Driving Cases
In another incident, police in Titram charged Narinder from Sangrur in Punjab and Imran from Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir for wrong-side driving, with the violations occurring near Harsola cut and Kakaut cut on the same highway.
Strict Enforcement of Traffic Rules
Superintendent of Police (SP) Aastha Modi has instructed all station house officers to enforce strict measures against traffic law violations and vehicles parked on the roads without valid justification, noting that such behaviors lead to accidents.
Dangerous Implications of Traffic Violations
The SP emphasized that by disregarding traffic regulations, drivers not only jeopardize their own safety but also endanger others. Lane violations heighten the chances of road accidents and can trigger traffic jams, leading to further inconvenience for travelers.
