About the Speaker:

Ryan Herrmann serves as the Vice President of Moving & Storage Products at Vanliner Insurance Company in Cleveland, Ohio. In his current role, Ryan leads efforts in strategic product development, innovation, and market expansion for the Alternative Risk Transfer solutions team within the Moving and Storage Division. He specializes in identifying and managing non-traditional risks, creating innovative insurance solutions, managing captive insurance programs, and applying data analytics to inform strategic choices. Ryan is committed to addressing complex risk challenges proactively.

Before this role, Ryan was the Assistant Vice President of Moving & Storage at Vanliner Insurance Company, where he conducted thorough risk evaluations, developed comprehensive financial models to assess the effects of alternative risk strategies on client portfolios, and advised on Alternative Risk Transfer options for many of the nation’s leading moving and storage firms.

Earlier in his career, Ryan dedicated over ten years to building his insurance expertise, ascending through various roles within the company. This experience has equipped him with the skills to tackle complex challenges in alignment with business goals. Ryan is esteemed for his forward-thinking leadership, strategic outlook, and steadfast commitment to enhancing insurance solutions within the moving and storage sector.

Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with dual concentrations in Management and Finance from St. Louis University, along with a Master of Business Administration from Washington University. He resides in Lakewood, Ohio, with his wife Stephanie and their daughter Elizabeth.
