New Certification for Trucking Insurance Management
The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) together with the Motor Carrier Insurance Education Foundation (MCIEF) has introduced a new certification program aimed at enhancing insurance performance, known as the Motor Carrier Insurance Risk Management Program.

This comprehensive eight-part online course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge necessary for making informed insurance purchasing choices. It also focuses on improving operational practices to achieve better outcomes. Upon successful completion of the course and associated exam, participants will be awarded the title of Certified Motor Carrier Risk Specialist.

The program encompasses a range of important topics, such as the necessary types of coverage, effective strategies for securing a solid insurance program, and the various factors influencing coverage options. Additionally, participants will learn how to optimize their role as insured parties and prepare for critical scenarios that could have significant financial repercussions.

Both the certifications are available at discounted rates for TCA members and can be accessed through TCA’s online learning platform, Truckload Academy On-demand. Once enrolled, participants receive unlimited access for a year and a certificate suitable for framing upon completing the course and passing the exam.
