Daimler Truck Financial Services (DTFS), a provider specializing in vehicle-related financial services, has established a new partnership with insurance broker Marsh aimed at supporting transport operators in the UK.
This new collaboration will enable DTFS’s truck and bus customers in the UK to access various commercial insurance and risk advisory services.
The package also includes comprehensive options covering motor insurance, commercial general liability, goods in transit, and commercial business insurance.
James Hubbard, DTFS’s director of strategy and marketing, stated, “Our cooperation agreement with Marsh demonstrates our dedication to offering an extensive range of services to our clients. We are eager to share more innovative developments in 2023, particularly regarding e-mobility and our role in assisting operators and dealers in their journey toward a zero-emission future.”
He added, “In addition to facilitating the financing of battery electric vehicles and, in the future, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, DTFS is well-positioned to support in areas like charging infrastructure.”
Expansion Plans
This initiative follows the launch of DTFS UK in August 2022. The new insurance service has already been introduced in Spain, with plans to expand into more European markets soon.
Marsh UK affinity leader Chris Barclay expressed enthusiasm for launching the UK segment of their partnership with DTFS, emphasizing their ongoing European cooperation. “With colleagues in over 50 locations across the UK, we can effectively align with the widespread distribution of DTFS dealer partners. We look forward to offering insurance and risk advisory support to DTFS customers, regardless of their size and location,” he added.
