Launch of eService Leasing Set for August 11, 2025
Daimler Truck Financial Services Germany (DTFSD) will introduce its new eService Leasing product on August 11, 2025. This offering targets customers looking to incorporate electric trucks into their fleets, aiming to facilitate the transition to e-mobility with a comprehensive package of financial products, service contracts, and optional services.
Product Features and Service Offerings
The eService Leasing operates on a mileage-based leasing structure with a secured residual value, and it includes the Mercedes-Benz Trucks Complete service contract, along with Mercedes-Benz Trucks Uptime. The leasing solution is enhanced by a flexible package of additional services from both Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Daimler Truck Financial Services:
- Greenhouse Gas Reduction and CO2 Compensation: Electric truck operators can earn extra income through annual CO2 certificates.
- eConsulting: Tailored assistance on integrating electric trucks into everyday operations, covering route planning, infrastructure, profitability, and funding advice.
- Advance Financing of Subsidies: This option allows for including government subsidies in financing plans, lowering monthly payments even before receipts of funds.
- GAP Insurance: The DTFSD-GAP SAFE insurance policy protects against the difference between the vehicle’s current value and outstanding debt in case of damage.
- Charging Card: The Daimler Truck charging card permits charging electric trucks at over 900,000 locations across 28 European countries, without brand restrictions.
- Charging Infrastructure Hire Purchase: Financing for charging hardware and installation can be arranged with terms ranging from 12 to 60 months.
Flexible Options with Miet & Lease
Besides the standard leasing option, DTFSD also collaborates with Mercedes-Benz CharterWay to offer flexible rental solutions. Businesses can rent electric trucks for shorter durations, with the ability to alternate between electric and diesel trucks during the rental period. This arrangement allows companies to evaluate the practical application of electric trucks in their operations before committing to a long-term decision. After a minimum rental period of 24 months, customers have the choice to transition to a used vehicle lease or a hire purchase plan.
Sales Support for the Launch
“eService Leasing conveniently consolidates critical product options within the Daimler Truck ecosystem for our customers,” stated Stefan Seitz, Product Management & Sales Support at DTFS Germany. The product will be strategically launched in August 2025, supported by informational resources and consultations available at dealerships to ensure customers have access to comprehensive information.
Comprehensive Offer for E-Mobility
“We are establishing a structured offering that thoroughly meets the essential needs of our customers in the sphere of e-mobility. The unified approach of predictable expenses, technological advancements, and advisory services lays a solid groundwork for moving towards electric drivetrains,” remarked Christian Seidlitz, Chief Sales Officer of DTFSD.
Supporting the Transition to E-Mobility
Through this new product, DTFSD aims to broaden its service offerings for the transportation sector and assist businesses in their journey to adopting e-mobility in their fleets.
