Daimler Truck Financial Services Chooses Charlotte for Headquarters

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (May 27, 2025) – Daimler Truck Financial Services USA LLC, a financial service provider for Daimler Trucks, has decided to establish its North American headquarters in Charlotte, leading to the creation of 276 jobs and an investment of over $7 million in the Ballantyne area.

Company Leaders Discuss Strategic Move

Kevin Bangston, president and CEO of Daimler Truck Financial Services, expressed excitement about the headquarters being established in Ballantyne, stating, “This move marks a significant step in aligning our team closer to DTNA and fostering long-term growth in our service strategies.”

Job Opportunities and Salaries

The new positions will encompass executive leadership, management, finance planning, finance operations, information technology, sales, and human resources with an average salary of nearly $134,000. Out of the total roles, 83 will be transferred from other locations, while 193 will be new positions created in Charlotte.

Government Support for the Initiative

Governor Josh Stein expressed his enthusiasm about the arrival of Daimler Truck Financial Services to North Carolina, mentioning that over 200 financial service companies thrive in the state due to its skilled workforce and outstanding quality of life.

Location and Economic Impact

The company will occupy the 10-story Boyle Building at 13034 Ballantyne Corporate Place. Charlotte is recognized as the second-largest financial center in the U.S., home to major financial institutions such as Bank of America and Truist Financial, and providing over 104,000 jobs in the financial services sector.

Contributing to Local Economy

Mark Jerrell, Chair of the Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners, noted that Daimler Truck Financial Services’ decision to base their headquarters in Mecklenburg County establishes the area as a hub for high-paying industries, strengthening the local economy and enhancing career opportunities for residents.

Collaboration Behind the Move

Daimler Truck Financial Services delivers financing and leasing solutions for Daimler Truck North America, a major commercial vehicle manufacturer. The company’s new Charlotte headquarters will unify its existing offices from Michigan and Texas under one 60,000-square-foot facility dedicated to administrative, HR, and financial operations. The project was supported by various local and state organizations and has contributed to over $170 million in capital investment and 1,111 new jobs in Charlotte from recent economic development collaborations.
