Alliant Insurance Services Introduces New Trucking Excess Program

Alliant Insurance Services has unveiled a specialized trucking excess program designed specifically for middle market fleet operators. The program rewards safe driving with a return of excess premium, allowing fleets to optimize their existing safety measures and technology for reduced excess coverage expenses.

Program Features and Eligibility

The offerings, available exclusively through Alliant Transportation, cater to fleets boasting more than 50 power units. They feature primary coverage limits of $1 million or $2 million, with deductibles reaching up to $250,000. The program utilizes data from fleets’ electronic logging devices (ELDs) to recognize safe driving behaviors, providing a premium dividend based solely on actual driving practices rather than claims history.

Industry Challenges Addressed

Mark Epperson, Senior Vice President of Alliant Transportation, stated, “Nuclear verdicts and other industry challenges have led to increased insurance costs for trucking firms. Fleets that invest in safety technology often face adverse financial impacts.” He highlighted that this exclusive excess product enables trucking businesses to safeguard their operations and gain premium dividends through responsible driving practices.

Enhanced Support for Transportation Clients

In addition to its new trucking excess program aimed at lowering excess coverage costs, Alliant actively assists transportation clients in obtaining competitive primary policies. This initiative further bolsters Alliant’s range of products tailored for those in the transportation sector.
