The Second Annual Truck and Equipment Show at the Jackson Forestry Festival unfolded beautifully on Saturday. A variety of trucks and heavy machinery attracted visitors of all ages, who gathered to appreciate and learn about the equipment crucial to Alabama’s economy.
Young aspiring operators enjoyed the “Little Diggers” section, where they took turns loading dump trucks from a large chip pile. Organizer Jason Harrell expressed gratitude for the event’s success and highlighted this year’s aim of honoring the truckers who are essential for keeping America moving.
Awards were given to notable participants, with Jimmy Mosely, Jr. from Laurel, MS, recognized for traveling the farthest to attend. Fiber Transport received the Best Service Truck award, Chris Richardson was awarded Best Log Truck, and Donnie Barnes was honored for Best Antique. Additionally, Andrew Wiggins took home the Best Work Truck award, with TJ and Rachel Smith as First Runner Up, and Fiber Transport as Second Runner Up. Ted Lane won Best of Show with his stunning blue Peterbilt.
