Investigation into Tire Vandalism at Tennessee Travel Center

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee is currently looking into an incident of tire vandalism at a TA Travel Center, where reports indicate that eight semi-trucks had their tires slashed.

Deputies arrived at the travel center in western Madison County at 8 a.m. on September 26 after receiving a report of multiple trucks, belonging to various agencies, being vandalized and left with flat tires.

Upon investigation, officers discovered small punctures in the outer sidewalls of each tire, all bearing identical marks. Notably, one truck had all 18 of its tires deflated, according to the sheriff’s office.

Extent of Damage

A total of 56 tires were damaged, with an estimated repair cost of around $500 for each tire. Additionally, the sheriff’s office noted that a truck driver was attempting to leave the lot when his passenger side tire completely came off his vehicle, also noticing that eight other tires were deflated.

Public Assistance Requested

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking public assistance and any information related to these acts of vandalism.

Similar Incidents reported

Similar occurrences have also been noted at a truck stop in Benton County in the Holladay/Sugar Tree area.

Reporting Information

If you have any information regarding this vandalism, please contact the Madison County Sheriff’s Office at 731-423-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 731-424-8477.

Note: An earlier version of this article incorrectly reported the number of trucks affected; it has now been corrected to confirm that eight trucks were damaged, according to authorities.
